I joined an Art Charm swap and auction.  The auction goes to benefit Beads of Courage - a wonderful charitble organization started by a PhD Nursing student in Arizona with the mission of "Caring for children coping with serious illness, their families and clinicians by helping them to RECORD, TELL and OWN their story of COURAGE through beads."

Many cultures have used beads to symbolize strength and courage.  Some are even considered to have healing powers.  As well, beads have had trading value the world over.  They are the perfect objects for someone to be able to assemble in their own personal way to tell their story.  Beads of Courage is providing assistance in over 140 hospitals in the US, New Zealand, Japan, the UK and here in Canada.

The theme for this year's swap is Fairy Tale - so many possibilities!

Here is a little teaser of my contribution:

Sorry, that's all you get until the reveal and auction coming up on September 30th.  Mark your calendars!

In the meantime, you can read more about Beads of Courage, Beads of Courage Canada and take a tour of the last charm swap in 2014 over at the gracious hostess, Jen Cameron of Glass Addictions.
